Learnster - manual
Learnster offers online courses that you can take at your convenience. You need to create your own e-learning account and log in. Here is a manual that shows you how to create your account and how to find your way around Learnster.
Create an account and log in
To access Learnster courses, you first need to create your own account.
Create an account for the first time
- Go to the Learnster page to create an account. Click here to access the account creation page.
- Enter your email address.
- Tick the I am not a robot box. If a box appears telling you to tick frames, do so and then click Confirm.
- Click on Next. An email will be sent to the address you entered.
- Look for the email from Learnster in your inbox and click on the link in the email to create your account.
- Fill in the name, password and then the password again. The password must contain:
- At least one capital letter
- At least one lower case letter
- At least one digit
- At least eight characters
- Please read the terms and conditions and tick I understand and accept Learnster's terms of use.
- Click on Log in.
You have now registered an account on Learnster and are on the Learnster homepage.
Log in when you already have an account
- Go to rodacross.learnster.com. Feel free to bookmark this page on your computer or mobile phone.
- Enter your email address with which you registered your account.
- Enter your password with which you have registered your account.
- Click on Log in.
- You are now on the My Courses page.
In My Courses you can see courses you are already enrolled in. You can find more courses by clicking on Catalogue.
Change your password
Here you can find out how to change your password if you already have an account.
- Go to the link rodacross.learnster.com
- Click on Forgot your password?
- Enter the email address you used to register your Learnster account.
- Click on Reset password. An email will be sent to the address you registered your account with.
- Click on the Click here link in the email to change your password.
- Enter a new password and confirm by typing the password again.
The password must contain: - At least one capital letter
- At least one lower case letter
- At least one digit
- At least eight characters
- Click on Choose password
Your password has now been changed, and you can log in to Learnster with your new password.
Find and take a course
Here you will find more information on how to find your way around Learnster, start a course, download certificates and find your way back to a course you have already completed.
Find your way in Lernster on your computer
- Catalogue - Here you can find all open courses available in the Swedish Red Cross course catalogue on Learnster.
- My teams - If you are part of a team in Learnster, you will see it here.
- My courses - Here you can find the courses you are enrolled in and have started.
- Profile menu
- My Name - Here you can change your personalised settings and change your password.
- Course history - Here you can see your already completed courses and download course certificates.
- Support - You can submit a question here if you need help with Learnster. The Swedish Red Cross Education Unit will answer about the content of the courses and Learnster if it is a technical question.
- Log out - Here you can log out of your account.
- Your progress - This is an overview of your courses, for example how many you have started and how many you have completed.
Find your way in Learnster on tablet/mobile
- Profile - Here you can change personal settings and change your password.
- Search - Here you can search directly for a course if you know its name.
- My Courses - Here you can find courses you have started, courses you are enrolled in but have not yet started and courses you have completed.
- Ongoing - Here you can find courses that you have started.
- Not started yet - Here you have courses you are enrolled in but have not started yet.
- Completed - Here you can download course certificates and go back and view the content of a course you have already completed.
- Catalogue - Here you can find all open courses available in the Swedish Red Cross course catalogue on Learnster.
- Team - If you are part of a team in Learnster, you will see it here.
- Notifications
Sign up and start a course
To enrol in a course, follow these steps:
- Go to the Catalogue or search directly for the course name.
- Find the course you want to take and click on it.
- Click on Register.
- Then click on Start to take the course.
To start or continue a course, proceed as follows:
- Click on My courses.
- Click on the course you want to start (if you cannot find the course, you may not be enrolled yet. Follow the instructions above to enrol).
- Click on Start or Continue to take the course.
Download course certificate/diploma
Once you have completed a course, you can download your course certificate immediately or at a later date. To find your course certificate afterwards, follow these steps.
On a computer:
- Click on the Profile menu.
- Then click on Course History.
- Find the course in your Course History list and click on Download Certificate on the far right for that course.
- Your course certificate is downloaded as a file to your computer.
On a tablet/mobile phone:
- Click on My Courses.
- Find the course under Completed and click on the course.
- Click on the small symbol to the right directly on the Certificate home screen.
- Your course certificate will open as a file in your browser, which you can then save to your computer or send away.
Retake a course
Once you've completed a course, you can go back and redo parts or all of it to refresh and revise the content.
On computer, do like this:
- Click on the Profile menu.
- Then click on Course History.
- Find the course in your Course History list and click on the course.
- Click on the page you want to see again.
- You can then go directly to the different sections and pages of the course using the menu on the right.
On a tablet/mobile phone, do this:
- Click on My Courses.
- Find the course under Completed and click on the course.
- Scroll down to go through the course content again.
- To go directly to the different sections and pages of the course, click on the menu at the top right (three small bars).
