Insurance for employees

Collectively agreed insurance schemes complement the national pension and social security schemes. They also provide employees with additional protection and support in various situations. It is the employer's responsibility to take out and pay for the insurance, which provides security and is a valuable employee benefit.

Under the collective labour agreement in force, employers are obliged to take out the following insurance for their employees:

  • Job security insurance (TFA) (Administered via Folksam)
  • Transition insurance (Omstella, administered via Folksam)
  • Occupational group life insurance (TGL). Most commonly, employers with ITP have their TGL insurance with Alecta via Collectum.
  • Supplementary pension for civil servants (ITP)

Insurance for volunteers

The Swedish Red Cross has several insurance policies that are valid collectively for all circles - no separate registration is needed. Volunteers are covered by liability insurance, group accident insurance and group motor vehicle insurance.

The elected representatives are also covered by travel insurance. However, circles that have a Meeting Point and/or a Second Hand need to actively contact the Info Service to subscribe to the Meeting Point
Hive insurance
, which includes property, liability, business interruption, legal expenses, crisis, customer accident and assault insurance.
